Readathon: Update 2, Hour 10

I'm still going (although not the same can be said for all of the characters in "The Apprentice" which I finally finished after dozing for a little bit).

Moving on to 84 Charing Cross Road for a lighter read.  Keep on reading!

Readathon Update

I'm enjoying Tess Gerritsen's The Apprentice for the beginning of the Readathon.  A fun murder mystery should make everything else a little lighter.

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

Charm City!  (Baltimore, MD)

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Carry the One by Carol Anshaw

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Snacks???  We have some good mandarin oranges in the fridge so I guess that counts.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I have a problem with watching a movie/tv show based on the book if I haven't read it yet, my to be read list just keeps growing though...

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

First timer.  Excited to get the blog started and discover some new authors.

24 Hour Readathon

Getting ready...

More posts to come throughout the day.  Good luck to all!

Hey there

I haven't been a reader for that long.  It was just a few years ago that I really discovered how awesome reading is and how wonderful fiction and non-fiction can be.  Now, I'm that guy in the library who brings bags to check everything out.   My favorite genres include literary fiction, dude lit (thrillers, murder mysteries, etc...), Jewish fiction, coming of age stories, selected YA and creative nonfiction (or narrative nonfiction), and I am slowly getting into short stories and plays.  I try to give anything that sounds interesting a test.  I try to follow the Nancy Pearl 50 page rule because really there is just too much to read to waste time on something that isn't fantastic.

Hope you'll come back to hear more about my bookish thoughts.

Tomorrow is the 24 Hour Readathon so be sure to check back often.  Until then...READ ON!
